Exempt accounts
Some accounts must stay on almost every group, drive, calendar, or team because the app requires an owner or a standing admin — for example it.admin@company.com on a Google Group or Shared Drive. They are not people Camper should manage.
Settings → Resources holds the tenant-wide list, under Exempt accounts. Camper never adds these accounts, never removes them, and never reports them as drift — on every resource.
This is different from a pin. A pin keeps one person desired on one resource. An exempt account is out of the engine everywhere.
Prerequisites
- Owner or admin role
Add an exempt account
- Open Settings → Resources and scroll to Exempt accounts
- Enter the email (it does not have to be in your directory)
- Optionally add a note — why this account must stay
- Add to list
You can also Exempt a matched outsider from Activity → Drift. That adds the same list entry.
The next reconcile stops reporting and removing that principal. Dry-run Review shows them under Exempt accounts, not as outsiders or removals.
What Camper does

Match is the email, case-insensitive, across Google, Slack, GitHub, Atlassian, and Microsoft 365. Accounts the connector cannot resolve to an email stay unmatched (never removed; reported as drift unless that link ignores outsiders).
Remove an exemption
On Settings → Resources → Exempt accounts, Remove. The next reconcile treats the account like any other member: report, retain, or remove according to each link's access rules.
