About these docs
This site is product documentation for people who operate Camper: connecting a directory, installing target apps, and day-to-day operations.
What you’ll find here
- Concepts — how Camper thinks about org structure, membership, and pricing
- Directory — SCIM, roles, IdP setup, catalog, SSO
- Connections — Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, GitHub, Microsoft 365
- Operators — resources, people, activity, billing, account security, support
What lives elsewhere
| Surface | Purpose |
|---|---|
| getcamper.io | Product marketing, pricing estimator, trust |
| getcamper.io/pricing | Published rate card and bands |
| Dashboard report button | Bugs, ideas, and questions about your workspace |
Engineering material — deploy runbooks, CI, repository layout — is internal and is not published here. This site covers operating Camper, not building it.
How articles are written
Good product docs (we model ours on calm operator guides like Twingate’s):
- Lead with what you are trying to do, not internal architecture
- List prerequisites and a summary of steps before deep detail
- Prefer UI paths (“Settings → Identity Providers”) over API or env-var detail
- Use tables for comparisons; keep callouts short
- Link to related guides instead of repeating the same setup twice
- Omit host secrets, deployment env names, and database field names unless an operator must type them

Feedback
If something here is wrong or missing, use the report button in the dashboard top bar and pick Question or Idea — see Report a problem. Documentation fixes reach the same people who write the product.
